The Science Of Goal Setting

If you're anything like me, whenever the new year rolls around in the deep dark winter time you start to think of new things you want to do in the coming trip around the sun, mountains you want to climb, bridges you want to cross...that type of thing. But usually these goals end up falling off after a few months, the motivation to get up in the morning and get after them wearing off almost as quick as the new sweater nana gives you for Hanukah. So to stick to our goals this year, we turned to the science to see what the research says about effective goal setting...turns out, there's a lot to the science (dare I say art) about setting and reaching milestones...who knows, this episode may just change your life.

About the Podcast

Dude! Nature
The longest running (and most popular) science podcast for those of us who got kicked out of class for throwing pencils at the ceiling. Adam and Noah are skeptical twin brothers whose separate journeys through professional science and engineering led them to a ridiculous notion: that reality is strange and barely understood. Unfortunately they just didn't have the attention span to listen to any science podcasts without wanting to gouge their eyes out with a spoon.

If you've ever wanted to listen to more podcasts about cosmic quandaries, evolutionary mysteries, and giant creatures living underneath the ice of rogue planets but just can't stand academic rambling delivered with a nasally voice, then this podcast is for you.
